Women who have experienced the gift of education understand just how powerfully knowledge can transform a life. Join us in lifting up girls and women who haven't yet had the same opportunities. One world. One sisterhood.

Education can diminish many of the global issues related to women - poverty, oppression, misogyny, brutality. More and more educated girls will mean stronger and healthier families, communities and entire countries.

Unfortunately, access to quality education is often limited for too many girls and women around the world. Two-thirds of all illiterate adults are women and not even 7% of the world's population has a college degree.

One person can make a difference. The collective efforts of a community can transform generations to come. That is why we are reaching out to our circle of friends, family, sorority sisters, colleagues...educated women. Together, we can make change.

A little goes a long way in some parts of the world.

  • $3.30 - A nutritious noon meal (often the only food children receive during the day)
  • $7.00 - A set of textbooks to call her own
  • $13.00 - One year of school tuition
  • $29.00 - A set of school clothing
  • $53.00 - Equates to sending a girl to school for one year in some parts of the developing world with everything she needs to be successful
Since it's founding in 2010, the CIRCLE OF SISTERHOOD has granted more than $2,500,000 to remove barriers to education for girls and women around the globe. Impact areas include early childhood development, health & medical supplies, K-12 education, mentoring, school supplies & infrastructure, teacher salaries and education. Donors have supported 49 school construction projects in Guatemala, Haiti, Malawi, Mali, Nepal, Nicaragua and Senegal.
